Originally from the Eastern Cape, Jessica Ann Canter graduated with her LLB from Stellenbosch University in 2021. She completed her articles in Stellenbosch and was admitted as an attorney in March 2024.

Jessica is a general practitioner with a special interest in human rights litigation, specifically women’s rights and LGBTQIA+ advocacy.

Outside the legal field, Jessica’s drive and discipline are reflected through her achievements as a swimmer, having competed at a national level for over a decade during her 17-year swimming career. She is also an avid equestrian and photographer.
